Looking to make a quick bitcoin rate conversion? If you’re a user of Microsoft’s Bing search engine, you no longer need to go past the search bar. That’s because Bing has now added support for bitcoin conversions.
To use, you can simply type in a query like “20 btc to usd” or “20 usd to btc”. A result will appear below with the appropriate conversion rate. We’ve been able to convert in USD, EUR, CNY, and GBP — so it’s probably safe to assume most currencies are supported.
Rates come from San Francisco-based Coinbase, which operates as a buying/selling house over a traditional exchange.
It’s interesting that Bing has actually beat Google to the punch here, joining the likes of WolframAlpha in providing useful conversions to end users.
How long do you think until Google does the same?
