New York State Department of Financial Services Superintendent Ben Lawsky has confirmed on Wednesday via Twitter that his bitcoin-centered AMA (ask-me-anything) will be taking place on Thursday, February 20th at 12:30PM Eastern time.
Lawsky says his post on the social-sharing website will be live for 15-20 minutes for Redditors to get their questions in before he begins responding.
The Superintendent is expected to face a slew of difficult questions — many of which are likely to surround his current work on bitcoin regulation in the State of New York — something an overwhelming amount of users in the community are not in favor of.
Lawsky recently held hearings in New York City to discuss regulation, including the possibility of making a “BitLicense” a requirement for businesses accepting the digital currency.
We’ll have more for you on this when the Q&A takes place.
