Cryptocurrency mining hardware manufacturer BitFury on Wednesday announced a hosted mining service that will be available to all business customers (as opposed to a select few, we imagine).
The company, which recently launched a seed investment fund, says that some 40 percent of all bitcoins are mined using BitFury chips, giving them an interesting and impressive track record.
The move comes during a time in which self-mining with one’s own hardware has become extremely cost-prohibitive, with constant hardware updates required and significant energy requirements.
“We are a trusted partner to our customers and are always looking for ways to help increase their mining profitability,” BitFury CEO Valery Vavilov said. “Mining has become more than just hardware, and we are excited to offer managed services to enable customers to benefit from our specially designed data centers and cheap energy prices from clean energy sources.”
The company has experience with both constructing and managing computing centers for mining, having recently constructed a 20MW data center in the Republic of Georgia in the matter of thirty days.
These centers are said to be staffed by engineers around the clock, and are close to cheap energy sources, giving them a distinct advantage.
NEWSBTC has put in an inquiry to the company regarding specific pricing, but did not receive a response by publishing time. Should that change, we’ll have an update available here.
