3D printing store ISG3D recently partnered with ShapeShift.io to integrate a range of altcoins to its checkout process – including Litecoin and Dogecoin.
Earlier this year, the Canadian store also started accepting Bitcoins for their 3D Printer, the ISG 11. They wanted to provide people a flexibility to choose among their favorite payment options. Bitcoin, which has recently been adopted by the companies like Microsoft and Dell, seemed like a perfect addition to ISG3D’s checkout process.
The company’s representative, at that time, quoted:
“ISG3D isn’t the first 3D printing business to accept payments in Bitcoin, but they are still among a small minority.”
“While many businesses claim the popular cryptocurrency is far too unstable to safely accept,” he added, “there are plenty of services that can convert Bitcoins into most currencies pretty easily and quickly, so I’m not sure that explanation really holds water.”
Now with their announcement to partner with ShapeShift, the company is indeed looking forward to provide more flexible options to its cryptocurrency-based customers. As known to everyone, ShapeShift provides its users a simplified coin-to-coin conversion service, without requiring an account.
If the reports from CryptoArticles.com is to be believed, then the ISG3D customers will now be able to purchase their goods and services via Dogecoin, Litecoin, Darkcoin, NuBits, Peercoin, Namecoin, Feathercoin, BitcoinDark, Namecoin, Quark, Reddcoin, NXT, Ripple and others. ShapeShift is planning to add even more altcoins in future, a step that is likely to benefit ISG3D as well.
