Anthony Di Iorio Resigns as Kyle Kemper Takes the BAC Reigns

Today brought with it the news that Anthony Di Iorio had resigned from his position as executive director of the Bitcoin Alliance of Canada. Having long been an avid supporter and a driving force behind the infrastructure currently being put in place to support bitcoin as a viable mass adopted payment method in the future, his resignation may come as something of a surprise to many people.

However, it should not be taken as a sign that he has reversed his opinion on the digital currency. While he founded the bitcoin Alliance in April last year, he is also highly active in many other areas of the bitcoin industry, with his current involvement roster including Toronto’s Decentral, crypto2.0 Ethereum, Rushwallet and Kryptokit.

Interim director Kyle Kemper – a previous board member on the Alliance – had this to say about Di Iorio’s departure:

Anthony Di Iorio was a great leader and will be missed; the Alliance thanks him for his tireless efforts. Moving forward, I hope to continue growing our membership while promoting bitcoin across Canada. The bitcoin ecosystem evolves dynamically and I think it’s important that we, as an Alliance, focus our efforts to maximize this opportunity.

The team at NewsBTC would like to thank Anthony for pushing forward what we all believe in, and we wish him the best of luck in all his current and future endeavors. We’d love to hear what you think about Anthony and what he has done for the bitcoin space – let us know!
