On February 20, Justin Boston, rookie NASCAR truck racer of the Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) group will participate in the NextEra Energy Resources 250. What’s so special about it? The Bitpay logo on his Toyota Tundra.
Teaming up with Bitpay is big news
The Bitpay sponsorship, the world’s largest bitcoin payment processor, to Justin Boston was announced on February 4. Yet, a few days before the race, the steam is up. Boston’s Toyota Tundra will carry the Bitpay brand on when lining up at Daytona International Speedway. The race will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Bitpay races on a Star rookie
Boston’s standings are quite impressive and Bitpay capitalizes on Boston’s really fast wheels. The 25-year old NASCAR rookie finished first in Toledo, Ohio in May and Madison, Wisconsin in August after completing the second full-time season in the ARCA Racing Series in 2014. His overall championship standings rank him at No. 5. He also finished ninth debuting at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta and twelfth at Dover, Delaware.
NASCAR’s exposure raises bitcoin awareness
Boston’s excitement about the partnership with Bitpay is expressed through the promotion of a Twitter hashtag #jbossbitcoin. Boston’s fans can post their feelings, thoughts, expectations, criticism or whatever they feel like to support the rookie racer. The best posts will be compensated with bitcoins from the Boston Racing team. Boston himself has been following the cryptocurrency for quite some time and he is positive that teaming up with leading bitcoin payment processor is a huge opportunity to raise awareness about bitcoin.
