Trucoin, the company that allows digital currency users to buy bitcoin instantly using a MasterCard or Visa, has announced that six more states have been added to its roster, in addition to increasing its daily buy limit to $1000.
Among the six California, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Utah, Nevada and Missouri – added to the previous states Florida, Georgia, Arizona, Wyoming, Oregon and Maine, among others. This addition means that the service now covers more than 60% of the US population, and is a great step forward for the company as far as becoming the premier digital currency purchase target for bitcoin consumers in the US.
Chris Brunner, President of Trucoin had this to say:
One of our first goals we outlined early on to help increase adoption was to allow folks who are new to bitcoin to purchase and take receipt instantly. We have had excellent results from our fraud mitigation process to date, which has translated directly into the fastest way to buy more bitcoin online using a debit or credit card than anywhere else in an instant
With the total number of states available now numbering 31, it surely won’t be long before Trucoin advances into those states in which it does not operate. What takes it so long? Well, the company strives to achieve “compliance” before it moves into a territory. This means that it takes time to set up shop, but it also ensures that Trucoin doesn’t fall foul of the US government, something that a number of companies have done in the digital currency space over the past couple of years, and also helps to reassure users of the online and mobile-based platform that the dollars they send will indeed be converted and returned in bitcoin.
