There’s some really interesting and exciting things slated to take place at the Bitcoin 2014 conference taking place in Amsterdam next month.
From a slew of notable speakers to an award ceremony, there’s seemingly something for everyone.
Start-up junkies: that includes you.
The conference will also be hosting a start up challenge, aptly named the Bitcoin 2014 Start Up Challenge (if you guessed that correctly, you’re awesome).
Sponsored by Ripple Labs, the challenge will involve eight entrepreneurs in the bitcoin space presenting their ideas in “elevator pitch” form before a crowd of digital currency enthusiasts, experts, investors, and venture capitalists.
The Bitcoin Foundation is accepting applications for start-ups that wish to participate (see the application here). The application deadline is May 6th, and the eight finalists who will present will be notified by May 9th.
The winner receives $10,000 to be paid out in bitcoin with additional awards to be announced soon.
Not too shabby, don’t you think?
The start up challenge takes place at Passenger Terminal Amsterdam on May 17th from 3-5PM local time.
