The Robocoin ATM, which entered service on Tuesday as the world’s first Bitcoin ATM, is showing off some of its successes today with some impressive statistics. In the first day of service, the automated machine saw $10,000 worth of transactions — 81, to be precise.
One third of the 81 people who used the machine were completely new to Bitcoin transactions, which certainly helps spread the word of the cryptocurrency.
Of course, the novelty factor with such a new invention is high, so the true test will be to see how many transactions continue over time. But for now, congratulations to the team at Nevada-based Robocoin for the good work.
