Bitcoin Center NYC Aims to Create Start-Up Incubator

New York City’s own Bitcoin Center NYC is looking to explore new frontiers.

The Center, which often holds live trading and other cryptocurrency events announced Thursday plans to “help fund, manage, and cultivate momentum for Bitcoin related startups.”

The Center — located just 100 feet from the New York Stock Exchange — says their plan is to provide a workplace, technical support, and event coordination in attempts to give selected startups a leg up on the competition.

Of course, not all startups will be accepted into the program.

The Center announced they are, effectively immediately, accepting applications from companies interested.

This is one of several startup incubators established in recent history.

In Paris, for example, exists a similar Bitcoin Center which serves a similar function.

The fact of the matter is that innovation in the bitcoin sector is happening, and rapidly (if you need any more proof, take a look at how much investment money is being poured into new startup projects).

Seemingly every week we see new reports of new startups forming, aiming to take on challenges facing this emerging industry. From Vault products, wallet services, and even bitcoin debit cards, there’s a whole bunch of great and interesting stuff going on.
