A special note to the traders on the Vault of Satoshi bitcoin exchange. It would appear that the exchange is presently unable to wire withdrawals to customers in North America. The reason? Unspecified for now, but the exchange notes that they’ll be resuming wires in a “short while”.
Instead, the company will be issuing bank checks to the address the customer used when they completed they profile. For some, thing might not be the optimal solutions as they’ll have to wait for the arrival of the check, and then wait some more for the check to clear. No only that, but the fees associated could be higher than if the amount was just wired in the first place.
Here’s the message presented to users:
We are currently converting to electronic funds transfers and will not be wiring to clients in North America. We are, however, couriering bank drafts to your address on file. This is temporary and we will be recommencing wires in a short while. I will have a bank draft for the amount requested sent to your address.
