For all the talk that Bitcoin isn’t very well known, it seems like the case is just the opposite. Some users on Reddit today have posted that Bitcoin is getting some love at Yahoo, turning up on the ‘Trending Now’ list.
This suggests that the term ‘Bitcoins’ has been searched quite a bit today, if you already haven’t guessed.
But this shouldn’t come as a surprise. After the major value increases (and subsequent drops), Bitcoin has appeared as a bright blip on the radar of risky investments, particularly recently in China. More and more speculators are seeing the currency as a way to potentially multiply their net worth.
As of this writing, ‘Bitcoins’ has apparently disappeared from the list, but I felt this was a noteworthy moment in the Bitcoin community.
