If you’re the type to keep track of bitcoin conferences (might as well since we’re about a day away from the start of The North American Bitcoin Conference in Chicago), you may want to pay attention.
BitcoinExpo 2014 is coming to Shanghai, China from September 19th – 21st, and organizers are calling it the “largest bitcoin expo ever.”
Now, we can’t tell you whether or not it’s the truth, but we can tell you that there’s a full line up a speakers prepared to take the podium.
Unfortunately, you probably haven’t heard of most of them.
This event is brought to you by the same people who held the Central European Bitcoin Expo (that’s the one that took place recently and had an unusual change of venue at the last minute). The speaker lineup was moderately better then, so here’s to hoping they get some more notables aboard in time for Shanghai.
It’s unclear to me where this event is taking place, so I’m either not looking hard enough or a decision hasn’t been made (I should note the website’s contact page shows coordinates, so there’s that).
As far as ticket prices go, they’re expensive. We’re talking €199 for two days expensive. And if you’re looking for a VIP experience, they’ll run you up to €399. Ouch.
We’re at least excited to continue getting more information about the event, so if anything new worth mentioning comes up, we’ll certainly keep you in the loop.
