Since bitcoin has begun to grow at an incredible pace since last year, Blockchain.info has grown with it. The website serves as perhaps the community’s most important assets — allowing users to easily make sense of the Bitcoin blockchain. And with over one million users, Blockchain.info’s online web wallet product (dubbed MyWallet) has also become a useful tool and learning instrument for the scores of individuals who have recently discovered bitcoin.
On Sunday, Blockchain.info teased two new products via Twitter. The first of which is a new domain name, Blockchain.com. Originally registered in 2011, the domain is expected that this domain will serve as a central point for the service’s wallet product, whereas Blockchain.info will remain a block explorer.
Secondly, if you went to Blockchain.com (or the screenshot above, if you’re feeling lazy), you may have noticed a picture of an iPhone. Look closer. There is apparently a new app in the works, which will come as great news to users of the current application — often called dated (it’s still formatted for the old iPhone screen sizes). From the looks of the design, it seems to fit in with the whole “iOS-7-flat” vibe. Cool!
No word on when Blockchain.com and the new app are set to debut, but we can reasonably expect “sometime soon” to be a good guess.
