Board Member Olivier Janssen Thrashes Bitcoin Foundation Publicly

Olivier Janssens, the newly elected Bitcoin Foundation board member, recently took a revolting stand against the organization.

The celebrated Bitcoin adopter accused the foundation of “lacking transparency of its actions,” while exemplifying their decision to ignore recording the board meetings. “We [him and Jim Harper] followed Robert’s rules of orders, and everyone else basically shut us down and failed to follow procedures,” wrote Janssens, while recalling his version of truth.

“The Bitcoin Foundation hates transparency,” he later implicated.

Janssens constantly stressed on some trivia related to the Bitcoin Foundation’s bankruptcy, saying that the organization is distrustful and is therefore not receiving any sort of funds from Bitcoin communities. He went on blaming them for ridiculously spending funds from the last two years, implying that their recent pledge to focus only on Bitcoin’s core development was a stunt to simply generate more money.

“The truth is that the Foundation’s plan was to hire even more core developers + to start a Bitcoin Standards Body. No organization should have this much control over Bitcoin, and a disaster was avoided.”

Interconnecting these near dots, Janssens outrightly called the Bitcoin Foundation an organization that is not interested in practicing transparency. In his opinion, the current body simply ignored to tell people and its own members the truth that they don’t have sufficient money to support the group. They are now planning to replace the current executive director Patrick Murck with someone who could take the fall of the Bitcoin Foundation on his head.

Overall, Janssens’s sudden outburst literally brought the Bitcoin Foundation to gutters. They would surely have to make some really veracious public statements to repel the attack. Let alone, the damage is done and will take more than just a clarification in times of mending.
