It’s certainly a frustrating time for traders on the platform, and for those who want to use that trendy new bitcoin ATM in downtown Vancouver, you’re out of luck. It operates using VirtEx.
VirtEx says they’re “Upgrading [their] infrastructure and changing data centers as well as vastly upgrading [their] hardware.” With regard to a timeframe, VirtEX says as soon as later this week.

Our site went down early this morning on Dec 10 2013 at approximately 3:00am(MST). This outage is due to a data center internet connectivity issue that is currently being investigating by their staff with no ETA. The page you are seeing now is being hosted by a different provider to display this message. It is beyond frustrating that our current data center with built in redundancies is having this issue for 4 hours + and affecting all of their clients. This is yet another reason we are upgrading our infrastructure and changing data centers as well as vastly upgrading our hardware. The move is planned for later this week where we will be in 2 new data centers. One for the primary serving and one for redundancy in case the first one goes down. Our nature of business demands as close to 100% uptime that we can achieve and the new infrastructure is planned to come completely online by Dec 13 2013 4:00pm(MST).
