A major financial news network here in the United States has debuted a short documentary chronicling bitcoin’s start and explosive growth over the past several years.
CNBC’s Mary Thompson enters the world of mostly-male bitcoiners in this 26-minute film. According to Bitcoin Magazine, Thompson’s producer, Karina Frayter, made the decision to make a half-hour news-piece after deciding that a one minute story would be simply too difficult, given bitcoin’s history.
One of the main points here is that the documentary covers both sides of bitcoin — the good and the bad.
While some say that bitcoin is the next big things, others (particularly those unfamiliar with digital currency) remain dubious.

The film is only available online — given bitcoin’s nature, and so far as we’re aware, will not be airing on television.
