2024 was a significant year for the Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) ecosystem, with the overall market cap steadily increasing and venture fund interest on the rise. But it was also a monumental year for AYDO! The project successfully bridged the Web2 and Web3 divide, enabling users to take charge of their IoT-generated data, turning it into an asset they could own and monetize. The achievements were many, and here are some of the highlights.
Key Achievements of the Year
AYDO reached new heights in 2024, making a mark at leading blockchain and tech events like Token2049, WOW Summit 2024 in Hong Kong, and the DePIN Summit 2024, showcasing its innovative advancements.
Collaborations were another key focus, as AYDO partnered with four prominent DePIN and AI projects. One standout achievement was being chosen as one of only six projects to join the prestigious DePIN Base Camp accelerator by Outlier Ventures, peaq, and Borderless Capital. In addition, the eagerly awaited beta test phase was successfully launched.
Beta Testing Milestone
AYDO’s beta testing phase received a remarkable response, with over 7,000 applicants signing up to participate. From this pool, 300 participants were selected for the beta launch. This group featured a mix of Ambassadors, AYDO OGs, and AYDOlist members, who were ensured access. Their participation and feedback have provided valuable insights to guide the development of AYDO.
While beta testing continues, more opportunities remain for those interested in contributing to the project.
Community Growth and Engagement
The year wasn’t just about technological advancements; it was also about creating a vibrant and engaged community recognizing that the community is their most essential asset. AYDO launched its Discord server, providing a dedicated space for members to interact, share ideas, and stay informed.
The Ambassador Program was another major success, with 26 dedicated members taking on two distinct roles: Special Ambassadors, who work closely with the team and take on significant responsibilities, and AYDO Helpers, who are newer members with growth potential. Rewards have been an integral part of these roles.
Beta testers received the exclusive “AYDOBughunter” role as recognition for their invaluable feedback, which has been instrumental in refining the app to provide the best possible user experience.
Company took steps to connect with its community more effectively, introduced a series of onboarding articles on Mirror to simplify the user-onboarding pathway. These articles provided a clear overview of DePIN basics, AYDO developments, and reward opportunities.
Collaborations Driving Innovation
AYDO started the year with a bang, debuting as the first project in the Odyss3y 2024 cohort. This program provided unparalleled support, mentorship, and ecosystem resources, setting the stage for AYDO’s continued growth.
The partnership with 375ai expanded AYDO’s reach, integrating with their edge network of thousands of IoT devices to collect real-time data on traffic, environmental conditions, and urban trends. This collaboration not only enhanced AYDO’s data coverage but also unlocked new revenue streams by providing valuable insights to industry buyers.
Another significant partnership was with Axone, a decentralized blockchain protocol for sharing and monetizing data, algorithms, and compute power. AYDO served as a key data stream market, connecting users to Axone’s AI models and simplifying data acquisition.
The collaboration with Wayru Network opened new possibilities for users to earn through DePIN by monetizing Wi-Fi hotspots. AYDO reduced hardware costs and plans to integrate WayruOS for even greater earning opportunities.
