eSports gaming marketplace Moxy.io launched its flagship gaming competition, ‘eSports for All’ Beta Challenge, which allows everyday gamers to compete in eSports-styled competitions with a prize pool of $100,000 cash up for grabs. The competition will also reward winners with its native token, $MOXY and other collectibles including NFTs.
According to a statement released on Thursday last week, the eSports for All Beta Challenge will help streamline Moxy’s vision to offer everyone an opportunity to compete in eSports live events. In addition, it also helps thoroughly “stress-test the platform’s various components while onboarding eSports competitors” as the platform awaits the mainnet launch and its token generation event (TGE).
Moxy.io is a blockchain-based platform that offers on-demand eSports for all gamers. The project connects gamers globally using its token, allowing them to compete across different on-demand competitive gaming titles and win rewards. The project leverages blockchain technology to facilitate real-time transactions across players while ensuring trustless and fraud-free online eSports gaming.
Participants in the ‘eSports for All’ Beta Challenge, play-to-win against other gamers and rise on the leaderboard by accruing points through the four seasons. Once the fourth season is over, those topping the Moxy Leaderboard will be eligible to receive prizes, including cash payouts ($USDC), $MOXY tokens and collectibles. However, the team is yet to announce how the $100,000 cash prize will be distributed amongst the table toppers.
To participate, gamers must be over 21 years of age. Simply, players sign up and create a Moxy account, complete KYC requirements, and they can start playing. At the start, every Moxy signup receives 1,000 $MOXY testnet tokens that allow them to compete against other players. Players can also receive referral prizes of 50 $MOXY tokens if they refer a friend to start playing the game.
