Moonveil, a pioneering Web3 game studio, has announced that it will launch its gamer-centric Layer-2 Chain testnet which Polygon CDK will power. This release was highly anticipated as it represents a significant move forward on its mission to build a gamer-first ecosystem that seeks to change how games are developed and experienced in the blockchain ecosystem.
The new Layer-2 chain testnet incorporates a ZK-powered Polygon CDK together with AggLayer to provide scalable, customizable and secure solutions for developers onboard. What it does is, it delivers a promise of seamless user experience which fast transactions and elevated security will mainly characterize. By modularizing the major operations such as transactions and oracles and in turn, distributing them across the various layers, the network can achieve greater efficiency, lower costs and better security, all of which are key elements for a high-performance gaming environment.

The Moonveil’s modular approach gives gamers the ability to test as well as implement new technologies while having minimal to no disruptions to the system overall. On the Layer-2 Chain testnet, it is clear that technologies such as Polygon Zero and zkEVM which enable fast network finality and frequent validity proofs have been leveraged, providing the world’s fastest ZK proofs. Furthermore, by utilizing recursive STARK technology, developers can create a variety of decentralized applications (dApps) and games without rewriting the code, streamlining the development process.
On the other hand, the AggLayer, a product that was co-developed with Polygon Labs, introduces smooth interoperability between the different game products. Through its unified cross-chain liquidity, it is able to eliminate mismatches between gas tokens and in-game tokens, ensuring an effortless user experience. $MORE tokens, used for gas, further simplify the process by creating a chain-abstracted, smooth onboarding experience.
Launch of Flaming Pets Game
One of the standout features of the AggLayer is its ability to allow developers to create independent spaces for different game products, enhancing modularity and allowing for better organization. What this means for the developers is that they can divide game sub-scenes and improve the overall structure and gameplay.
In conjunction with the testnet launch, Moonveil has also announced that there will be a release of Flaming Pets, a multiplayer arena game set in a magical world of 25 enchanted castles.
