One of the most outstanding new-generation blockchain games, Bluelight.inc is made for strategy-building lovers and fans of cartoons for adults, such as Rick & Morty or Take My Muffin. The creators have always emphasized gameplay instead of quick crypto profits, and the upcoming version of the game is said to further enhance user experience. What to expect from a massive re-build that’s being prepared, and why should you try playing this hit-to-be?
What is Bluelight
The concept of Bluelight becomes clear once you open the website – this is a startup simulator that allows everyone to build a virtual business from scratch. The action takes place in San Crypto – a vibrant metaverse city where aspiring talents and deep-pocketed tycoons develop their companies, trying to outperform Bluelight – the most powerful corporation out there.
Spiced up with witty humor and sarcastic jokes, the storyline will put the player through the long way of startup building and introduce game mascots – Dealan’s dream team. These characters will assign quests, provide rewards and guidelnes.
What’s in store right now?
Although Bluelight.inc is a brand-new game, developers have already managed to:
- Run play-to-earn mechanics on testnet.
- Roll out the first playable private beta with office management and project jobs, as well as team management.
- Find and fix bugs during the closed alpha stage.
- Launch the open alpha with Tycoon mode (office management) and Collectible card mode (project completion).
At the moment, you can run both modes and hone your strategy-building skills in the Collectible card games: pick projects, manage workers at your team, and earn coins for completed tasks. However, the progress is saved only in players’ browsers, which means you don’t get leveled up and only train before the real competition starts. This will change pretty soon.
Massive improvements are on their way
After thorough testing at two alpha stages, the creators decided to drastically improve both visuals and game mechanics. So, what to expect from Bluelight in the near future?
- Growing complexity of projects. Since users’ progress was always erased, they could not progress by completing tasks and had to face the same challenges again and again. Training is over – it’s time to play big! Starting from September 2023, players will gain experience, complete more and more interesting projects and get rewarded for that.
- Tutorial for beginners. Before being provided with free space to start the journey (co-working or a garage), gamers will undergo a quick tutorial that explains rules, mechanics and role of characters. You will take a sneak peek into what your future offices may look like, and get pro tips to complete projects successfully.
- In-game currency. Players will earn coins for completed projects – in the future, this currency will be spent for character upgrades, buffs, and NFT purchases.
- Refined visuals. Developers promise that players will definitely enjoy brand-new interiors – they have refined graphics, making office space brighter and warmer.
Here you can take a sneak peek at the new offices:

Workers’ appearance (and something else) has been changed, as well:

In 2023, developers plan to disable workers’ needs in the tycoon mode so as not to distract players and let them focus on the primary mode (Collectible card game) instead. It means teammates will stroll through the office space like NPCs, not requiring purchases or attention. Besides, the position of furniture in office rooms in the Tycoon mode will not be reflected in the Collectible card game as it happens now. This change is explained by the growing complexity of projects which would otherwise demand players to rearrange furniture before every quest, which is tiresome and too complicated.
