Could Dell Be Expanding Bitcoin Acceptance to Brazil?

Computer manufacturing giant Dell made headlines not terribly long ago for deciding to accept bitcoin on their online store seemingly out of the blue.

And now, it seems, they may be looking to expanding that acceptance to Brazil.

That assumption of sorts is based a tweet from the official Dell in Brazil account (discovered and posted by a user on Reddit.com), which recently asked users about their interest in the digital currency:

Translated:

[blockquote style=”1″]Do you use bitcoin yet? Tell us your opinion about this digital money.[/blockquote]

Reading the responses (I speak Portuguese), those who have taken the time to chime in are generally optimistic. One respondent writes:

[blockquote style=”1″]To tell the truth, I’m just saving in bitcoin for now. I’m dying to get a good option in Brazil to spend them.[/blockquote]

The idea of Dell in Brazil isn’t at all farfetched. In fact, if you really think about it, it’s actually quite likely. If accepting in the United States, why not abroad?

It remains to be seen whether the Brazilian Dell division will accept this emerging digital currency, but if we know one thing, there’s a bunch of eager enthusiasts looking to give their own bitcoins to the company in exchange for some computing hardware.

What say you? Does it make sense for Dell in Brazil to accept bitcoin like the U.S. division?
