The bitcoin community is enamored with companies that take the leap into the world of bitcoin. Mobile Vikings, a mobile carrier that serves Belgium, Poland, and The Netherlands is allowing their subscribers to top up their plans with — wait for it — bitcoin.
The company is working hand-in-hand with BitPay, a digital currency processor, and the option to pay via bitcoin is available right now.
It’s unclear if the company will only allow bitcoin payments for top-ups (another way of saying funding a pre-paid account), or if this includes the purchase of mobile phones, as well.
Mobile Vikings serves well over 100,000 customers in the three countries, and with this news, are surely hoping to attract even more subscribers. (via Reddit.com)
