Every once in a while, someone decides they’re going to get clever to try and make some money. Most times it doesn’t work, but sometimes it does. Remember the “I am Rich” app for iPhone that cost a whopping $999.99 and did basically nothing?
Another site, aptly dubbed Bitcoinscam.org, has the same idea in mind.
“Invest now and never get it back. 100% risk guaranteed!” touts the very simply designed site, featuring a Bitcoin address front-and-center. The whole thing is pretty transparent, really. Declared fake reviews, a self-explanatory domain name, and so forth.
The best part? The site has apparently managed to collect 0.81704423 BTC as of this moment, or $167.49 USD. Impressive!
