Manchester Diadem Jewellers Online Jewellery Business Accept Bitcoin

The Bitcoin ecosystem has welcomed another merchant, this time a jewellery store.

Diadem Jewellers in Altrincham is starting to accept Bitcoins in payments. The brand is now in the process of launching its website, which will make it the first shop in the Greater Manchester area to accept the cryptocurrency. The store sells handmade jewellery and was launched in December last year.

Online manager of the store, Alexander Young believes that Bitcoin is truly a future currency and is exceptionally safer than card payments. Alexander adds that, Because BitCoin payments are irreversible, it’s more secure and safer. With card payments, a customer might make a payment and it could be done on a dodgy card, where the money hasn’t actually been transferred.”

Young also expects more businesses to accept Bitcoin as the financial and economic landscape undergoes a revolutionary change. He said, “I think you have to remember that in today’s society you have to adapt or die, and if people want to succeed, it’s all about being flexible and open to trying new things.

The decision to accept the cryptocurrency stemmed also from the relative ease at which businesses could set up the Bitcoin payment method, with lots of third parties on-hand to help.

The owners of the business, Elizabeth Agius and Daniel Monks, are excited as well. Acknowledging that the Bitcoin industry has been growing aggressively and that the number of consumers using the innovative digital currency will only increase in the years ahead, the jewellery store has big Bitcoin plans in mind.

Bitcoin, as a digital currency was invented in 2008 and has seen its ecosystem grow manifold. Customers who are willing to make payments in Bitcoins can trade their cash for the digital currency via www.localbitcoins.com.
