Miami Exotic Car Rentals announced today that they’re now accepting bitcoin payments for the rental of exotic, luxury, and performance vehicles — making it the first in the world to do so.
The move could potentially be beneficial for the company’s international customers, who will no longer need to deal with the hassle of converting their currency to U.S. dollars and dealing with exchange rates.
Rentals range from $200 – $2,000 daily (obviously depending on the car).
“Miami Exotic Car Rentals has always been at the forefront of adopting new technology to help serve customers better and the inclusion of Bitcoin as a payment option reaffirms their commitment towards client satisfaction. For the first time ever, people can now turn their Bitcoins into Bentleys,” the company wrote in their announcement.
Companies dealing with luxury rentals and purchases aren’t new in the bitcoin realm. In fact, there’s an entire website dedicated to selling luxury items in exchange for the digital currency. And most recently, PrivateFly.com announced the ability to charter a private jet with bitcoin.
