Minecraft Creator Notch Accepting Dogecoin For His New Game

PC game developer Markus Persson — better known in the gaming community as simply ‘Notch’ — is said to be accepting dogecoin for his latest development.

Notch rose to fame with the creation of Minecraft, a sandbox game that has rose to international fame (and even has a merchandise business now), but he’s set his sites on a new project.

That new project is Cliffhorse, a silly game that allows the player to control a horse in a bland 3D environment, all while chasing a ball.

Notch has an incredibly following in the indie gaming community, so it’s no surprise that some people have shelled out their crypto-doges to play the game, which Notch noting in a Tweet that he “can’t believe this somehow ended up being [his] first commercial game after Minecraft.”

The idea is to poke fun at today’s developers and the massive budgets they have to work with in order to make their games. Notch, on the other hand, made his Cliffhorse masterpiece in a mere two hours using the Unity gaming engine.

This dogecoin acceptance is just for early access. The polished game will be free.
