Last week I posted about the fact that the Robocoin ATM would be entering service out in the field for the first time in Vancouver. The day has come, and the first Robocoin ATM is now operating inside of a coffee shop.
The ATM allows users to transact up to $2,000 USD per day and convert it to Bitcoin and vice-versa. It’s an interesting concept, but the true test here will be just how well the machine fares in the future. Will it get much use? Will it often get mistaken for a cash machine?
Robocoin has apparently sold more than one, so it’s only a matter of time before we see these sprouting here and there.
