The folks over at SatoshiLabs are doing some pretty neat things. Their popular TREZOR bitcoin hardware wallet was delayed somewhat significantly, but things now appear to be on track.
And part of being on track means introducing new products. Enter myTREZOR Lite. SatoshiLabs published a short blog post on this new app for Android devices this week.
So what does it do?
In short, the application will allow users to accept bitcoin payments on their Android devices without the need for carrying around one’s TREZOR wallet. The application will generate a new bitcoin address for each transaction, and allows users to view transaction history, and individual address balances.
One is able to activate the myTREZOR Lite application by logging into myTREZOR.com (and if you own the device, this would have been part of the initial set-up). The user will then be required to select the Advanced details section from the desired TREZOR device, and they’ll be able to scan the XPUB QR code of the applicable account. From there, it should be smooth sailing.
According to SatoshiLabs, the myTREZOR Lite application is based on the BTCReceive Android wallet app by Ken Sedgwick.
If you’re interested in downloading the myTREZOR Lite application, it can be found on the Google Play Store here.
