A Second Senate Bitcoin Hearing Will Take Place on Tuesday, November 19

US Senate SealWe’ve already established that a Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs hearing on Bitcoin is slated for Monday, November 18th, but did you know that there’s another Bitcoin hearing the day following, on Tuesday, November 19th?

It’s being held by the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs and will get going at 3:30 PM (there will be a live webcast). The hearing, titled, “The Present and Future Impact of Virtual Currency,” will have witnesses in two panels.

The first panel includes “Ms. Jennifer Shasky Calvery, Director, Financial Crimes Enforcement Network: and Mr. David Cotney, Commissioner of Banks, Massachusetts Division of Banks.”

The second panel: “Mr. Anthony Gallippi, Co-founder and CEO, BitPay, Incorporated; Mr. Chris Larsen, Founder and CEO, Ripple Labs; Ms. Sarah Jane Hughes, University Scholar and Fellow in Commercial Law, Indiana University Maurer School of Law; and Mr. Paul Smocer, BITS President, Financial Services Roundtable.”
