The University of Cumbria in the United Kingdom will reportedly begin accepting bitcoins for two new programs related to the study of cryptocurrencies.
According to CoinDesk, the programs are being run by the Institute for Leadership and Sustainability at the University.
“We are accepting bitcoin as a way of experimenting how it works for a major organisation with many departments,” said Jim Bendell, who is the director of the Institute.
One of the courses is said to be a certificate in sustainable exchange course, and the other a post-graduate certificate in sustainable leadership.
The first of the two courses will be taught at the University of Cumbria’s London campus beginning in July, the second at the Lake District campus one month earlier, in June. (via CoinDesk)
