How would you like to go to school and pay in Bitcoin while doing so? A Cyprus University is doing just that. The University of Nicosia is now allowing students to pay their tuition bills and other fees using Bitcoin.
It’s the first University in the world to do so, and hopefully it sets a trend for colleges elsewhere around the world.
“We are acutely aware that digital currency is an inevitable technical development that will lead to significant innovation,” says Dr. Christos Vlachos, who is a part of the Council of UNic and works as the school’s chief financial officer.
How soon until we see more schools accept Bitcoin?
