Some time ago, Twitter user Sergey Yusupov posted a tweet that sparked discussion in bitcoin circles on a number of social media websites. The tweet was simple:
@BitAccess welcome to #Dubai but 400 #BitcoinATM are already here and will be activated in 2 weeks! pic.twitter.com/0i1duhCCXq

I tried myself to get more information about this, but due to time difference, I was unable to connect with Mr. Yusupov to get more information.
Then the “this-is-a-lie” stories began to circulate, and before long, it was a forgotten topic. Until today.
A video uploaded Monday to YouTube by Umbrellab shows a demo of the machine, which implements a KYC (know-your-customer) process.

The devices are the product of the ManGo Kiosk Network, which allow users to take such actions such as topping up their mobile phones, purchase airline tickets, and more.
It’s unclear whether this bitcoin ATM feature will be deployed across the entire network, but it’s an interesting watch nonetheless.
We can likely expect to see more from these little kiosks in the near future.
