NFT Charity Auction to Mark Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi First World Boxing Championship Win

Hanoi, Vietnam: Today, Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi, a 24-year-old Vietnamese female boxer and a member of the ‘Cocky Buffalo Promotion,’ has announced the launch of the Fandom Foundation NFT Charity Auction. The auction will honour Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi’s historic win as Vietnam’s first female boxer to become a world champion at the Women’s Minimum-Weight World Title Match in Asan, South Korea, in October 2021.

Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi’s recent success in boxing hasn’t come without hard work and sacrifice. To make a living, she sold lottery tickets on the street as a young child. And to commemorate her achievement and overcoming hardship, she will be celebrated with six special edition NFTs illustrating Nhi’s journey to becoming Vietnam’s first female world boxing champion. Fandom Foundation, the sponsoring company, and will host the NFT Charity Auction.

The six NFTs are a series of pixel art featuring images of Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi and are themed around ▲The Girl Brings Luck, ▲ No Pain No Gain, ▲Asian Championship, ▲Title Match, ▲World Champion, ▲Weight of Effort. In addition to receiving a limited edition NFT, each NFT buyer will receive either; trunk pants, boxing shoes, boxing robes, gloves and bra-top, which Nhi wore during the world championship match. In particular, the NFT titled ‘The Girl Brings Luck’ will be issued in 99 editions reflecting Vietnamese lucky number 9.

Cocky Buffalo Promotion is the most influential boxing organization in Vietnam. For the first time in Vietnam’s history, Cocky Buffalo Promotion CEO Sang-Beom Kim trained and sponsored a Vietnamese professional boxer and hosted several international matches.

This charity auction will be held for nine days, from November 24, 2021, to November 30, 2021.  Detailed information about the auction can be found on the official ‘Cocky Buffalo Promotion’ YouTube and TikTok channels and Fandom Foundation’s NHI NFT Charity Auction website. In addition, Fandom Foundation, the official sponsor of Thi Thu Nhi, has announced that the proceeds from the NFT Charity Auction will be donated to charities.

About the Fandom Foundation,  foundation of ‘fandom’ project, a platform project for creators, which will open a channel for short-form content creators and users enabling them to create revenue from content.
