Troika Media Group’s (NASDAQ:TRKA) subsidiary, Troika IO, the digital assets arm of Troika Media Group, and Umba Daima, a creative agency whose mission is to help the world embrace Black art, will team up to host a 30-day non-fungible token (NFT) art exhibit called the ‘Crossroads’ from September 25, 2021 to October 24, 2021. The exhibit kicks off with a live launch party in Atlanta, Georgia aimed at local art and tech communities.
Troika Media Group will sponsor a live launch party in Atlanta, Georgia on September 25, 2021 to kickoff the first series of NFT experiences for this historic project. Following the launch, the exhibit will be on display for 30 days at The Unseen Gallery, a digital event space created to host large activation projects. Troika and Umba Daima will curate NFT events and experiences in the gallery, such as scavenger hunts, auctions, raffles or giveaways, panel discussions, and workshops. The artworks on display will not be tied to any one artist or group of artists, and the live and virtual exhibit will feature artwork of 20-25 predominately Black artists. The exhibit will exist primarily in digital form, with pop-up events happening in Atlanta during the course of the exhibit.
“The Crossroads Exhibit is a historic project for many reasons,” said Iris Nevins, co-founder of Umba Daima, “It brings visibility, education and exposure to Black artists, and it also brings companies, brands, creators, and collectors together in exciting new ways.” The exhibit aims to demystify NFTs while building a bridge between fine artists, digital artists, musicians, filmmakers, and cryptocurrency holders.

Troika’s collaboration with Umba Daima showcases Troika’s ability to elevate digital commodities and experiences quickly and cost-effectively using Bitcoin and digital assets. Troika’s expertise in creating bold and immersive brand experiences will amplify Umba Daima’s mission and help generate exposure for the talented Black and African artists around the world. The digitally immersive experience will feature artists from a range of cultural and artistic backgrounds in a number of mediums ranging from cinematic film to the music industry, as well as digital expressions and performance art scenes. Its aim is to cultivate a connection between the art world, corporate business and technology-based communities.
The multi-media digital gallery hosting the exhibit is designed by Kwame Michael and leverages interactive virtual experiences. Exhibit events will cover a wide range of topics relating to Bitcoin, NFTs, tech, and other themes chosen by the featured artists.
