Bitcoin exchange and debit card issuer Bit-X recently discussed the measures it has taken to protect its clients’ money from online criminals.

The UK-based digital currency startup confirmed that the account of each of its client is equipped with two-factor authentication, multi-signature addresses & transactions, and PCI DSS certification. It also said that it uses 3-D secure system technology to protect debit and credit card transactions on its platform, which is also equipped with its own 2-factor client authentication and safety protection protocol.

The security measures are taken in wake of the series of online attacks against Bitcoin exchanges around the world, including the very recent hack on Cryptsy that lost around $5.7 million worth of clients’ digital currency. A representative of Bit-X added:

“Our exchange is in complete charge of client funds and personal information. We use a two factor authorization system to fortify security and eliminate the possibility of any unauthorized access. Our clients can easily track their account activity. The support team is always ready to help our clients in the case of suspicious activity.”

Bit-X further ensured clients that it offers them a complete transparent structure when it comes to accessing account activities. It said that it uses a special protocol — a trading commission calculation system — that enables clients to trace their trading histories and transaction details in depth.

“Our main goal is to make trading profitable, easy, simple and convenient for all our traders,” the representative said. “We have given much thought and attention to each and every aspect of trading, including: the deposit and withdrawal of client funds, order placement and clearing, account activity and so on.”

Bit-X also promises the same user experience with its Bitcoin debit card services, which is available on order through their official website. The card is powered by internationally accepted payment processor VISA, and enables users to spend Bitcoin anywhere around the world.
