KnCMiner is certainly trying to do their best to please their customers. The company has emailed customers some information regarding current products and plans moving forward.
For starters, KnCMiner has announced they are ending sales of their Jupiter miners.
“We had intended to offer Jupiter following the end of our Network Protection phase, however things move fast in the Bitcoin world and we have decided to end all future sales of Jupiter,” the company wrote.
On the topic of KnCMiner’s Neptune miner — which is certainly highly-anticipated — the company said that they are continuing work around-the-clock to bring the miner to market. KnC says they’ve managed to reduce power consumption by about 11 percent, allowing them to “squeeze” in additional cores.
“The core count per package is already over 1000 and with every reduction in power usage we will add in more cores to maximize the performance,” KnC says.
Finally, ‘Plan B’. This is perhaps the most interesting of the updates supplied in that the company announced they are building a data center in the north of Sweden in order to offer free hosted hashing packages to fully paid customer affected by product delays.
The move allows customers who have shelled out a pretty penny to not lose out on about mining time.
KnC says that are using their 28nm chips for the data center, stating that “all products that we have coming out of our factory in the next few months will go into building and supplying the Plan B facility.” (source)
