[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]One of the most interesting topics when it comes to the price of bitcoin is the predictions that individuals make. Some are investors, and others have no idea what they’re talking about. Some predict a $1 bitcoin in X amount of years, others predict a $1 million bitcoin.
But investor Tim Draper? He’s looking at a $10,000 bitcoin in a three-year time period. That’s according to an interview he did this week on the FOX Business network this week — echoing a similar statement he made on the 12th of September:
“I’m still predicting […] $10,000 per bitcoin in three years,” he said Tuesday.
Tim Draper is with Draper Fisher Jurvetson, which has invested in a number of high-profile companies like Twitter, Tesla, Tumblr, and SpaceX. He became well known in the bitcoin community this year for his acquisition of the Silk Road bitcoins that were put up for auction by the United States Marshals Service.
Those bitcoins, over 29,000 of them, were worth over $18 million at the time of the auction. The price of bitcoin has, of course, gone down a bit since that time.
Draper’s purchase of the bitcoins isn’t for personal use, however. He’s partnered up with start-up Vaurum, which is aiming to open as a bitcoin exchange for financial institutions.

well. I hope he’s right but best not to get hopes up.
That seems awfully high. It would be nice, but I think we will be looking at mainstream use with those prices. Bitcoin needs to come a long way before it is fully integrated into the mainstream public. However 3 years is a long time so who knows. Here’s here’s to hope.
He is just predicting and betting. In no way, is he offering concrete reasons why Bitcoin would shoot up so much within 3 years
Getting closer to 3 years, don’t forget we have the block reward halving in 2016 speculators will pile in the months before that… Id hope Bitcoin would reach $1000 before 2016 if it wishes to touch $10,000 before a drop to $3000
