CEX.IO is one of the oldest cloud mining and exchange services. CEX.IO project started in 2013 and proceeded with launching the CEX.IO domain, acquiring assets of GHash.IO. GHash.IO became the biggest mining pool, reaching over 42% of the overacoindll Bitcoin mining power. CEX.IO recently obtained an MSB (Money Services Business) status in FinCEN, a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
In April 2014, CEX.IO user base exceeded 200,000 users. In May 2014, CEX.IO imposed a trade fee onto the exchange, lowered maintenance costs for cloud-based GHS and added IXC/BTC trading pair. CEX.IO suspended cloud mining services due to low Bitcoin price and high mining difficulty on January 12th, 2015. CEX.IO had been developing as a trading platform and in April 2015, the exchange officially entered the US market. Since then, the exchange has never changed their fee structure nor lowered the charged commissions. Now the CEX.IO Bitcoin Exchange is glad to decrease the fees for withdrawals in USD and EUR, as well as lowering minimum limits for respective withdrawals.
The Bitcoin exchange announced today that from now on, users will be able to withdraw their earnings with better conditions, while being charged a considerably lower commission. Thus, a fee for withdrawing US Dollars via bank transfer has also been decreased from $50 to $35 per transaction. Apart from lowering costs, CEX.IO halves minimum limits for US Dollars withdrawals, from $200 to $100, while Euro withdrawals have decreased from €200 to only €30.
CEX.IO has also changed their strategic position regarding the individual user approach. Considering a wide range of user types and their expectations from the platform, the exchange recently added Individual Business and Corporate accounts, which allow getting custom conditions and limits. The Bitcoin exchange feels that with such new improvements, users will expand their possibilities and will be able to withdraw shorter amounts with lower commissions.
