The token sale ICO of AlCoin, a new investment fund that works as a collective, based on a blend of artificial intelligence and wisdom of the crowd, is ending on August 28, 2017. The platform follows an investment strategy that offers profit opportunities as a result of two inter-related revenue streams developed for generating ROI. The first one comprises of the funds raised during the ICO, which is to be used for short term trading in different cryptocurrency markets. These markets use proven artificial intelligence models. The second stage takes the trading profit and uses it to invest in promising start ups in blockchain and artificial intelligence industry.
The Creation of AlCoin Investment Board
As per its governance process, the First Global Credit, a company behind AlCoin, has recently announced the formation of AlCoin Investment Board. The Board is responsible for the review of investment proposals and their presentation to the Collective. It would select only 5 proposals each quarter. Token holders of the Collective will vote about which proposal should receive funding.
The Board’s Composition
AlCoin Investment Board consists of 5 members; out of which two are from the First Global Credit. One member is independent representative having knowledge and experience of global start up- market. As announced previously, Jon Matonis, co-founder of the Bitcoin Foundation has been chosen for this role. The rest of the members will be elected by AlCoin token holders.
The Role of AlCoin Token Holder
AlCoin token holders are allowed to nominate themselves as a board candidate. They must have enough time to review proposals presented by the Collective, as a part of their duty. The entire review process also includes online meetings of the Board. The process of members’ selection will start right after the end of ICO.
The Blockchain-based Election
A blockchain based election will enable token holders to vote for their desired candidate for the Board membership. The selected candidate will serve the Board for two years, while the runner up will have a one-year term.
