Circle Join Hands to Launch Developer Roundtable Series

The Bitcoin Foundation today announced the launch of DevCore Boston, a roundtable discussion program for developers, to discuss the future development of Bitcoin Core.

With Circle as its Title Sponsor, DevCore is hoping to attract the entire community of Bitcoin coders, testers, debaters and enthusiasts under one roof to design and develop the future of digital currency technology. “Attendees, whether they are recent graduates to advanced C++ programmers, Bitcoin novices to Bitcoin veterans, will be better equipped to advance the development of Bitcoin Core,” the Bitcoin Foundation promised.

This one day roundtable is also scheduled to feature keynote presentations from Bitcoin veterans like Gavin Andresen, Jeremy Allaire and Sean Neville.

“Just like the Internet, Bitcoin’s ongoing maturity toward massive mainstream volume depends on attracting more people to code, test, debate, and generally innovate in its open meritocracy,” said Neville, Co-Founder and CTO of Circle. “But it’s a daunting project to enter. These roundtables help developers cross that threshold.”

Andresen, Chief Scientist at the Bitcoin Foundation, also addressed the community and stated:

“The biggest challenge for Bitcoin startups right now is finding technical talent who understands the block chain technology. Whatever your skill level or interest, this event will give you a solid grounding in Bitcoin Core and how you can contribute.”

Apart from panel discussions, DevCore has listed a number of constructive activities that will be a part of their upcoming program. They include ‘Quick Hack’ workshop; training and certifications; networking opportunities; and a detailed Q&A round with Bitcoin developers.

The event will be conducted at Boston’s District Hall on February 11th, 2015.
