In what is claimed to the be the world’s largest bitcoin business directory, BitScan has launched a database of over 5,700 businesses in 130 countries in partnership with BitPay — a digital currency payment processor.

As more and more businesses turn to bitcoin, consumers are eager to find places near to them that will accept their digital money.

The BitScan business directory joins Coinmap.org, which recently reached a whopping 3,000 bitcoin business listings.

BitScan says that listing and promoting a business on the directory is free of charge, anyone who refers a business not listed in the directory is awarded a percentage of advertising revenue from that listing, should any accrue.
