DECENT, the decentralized blockchain based content distribution platform is soon organizing a crowd sale. DECENT Foundation, the governing body of DECENT platform has announced yesterday about the impending crowd sale scheduled to start in the month of June this year.
According to the announcement, the DECENT Software Sale is a one-time opportunity to become part of the Blockchain driven decentralized platform which is expected to become the future of media. The sale of DECENT software tokens during the crowd sale is meant to raise funds for the further development of the platform.
DECENT was founded by Matej Boda, Matej Michalko, and Wayman Kwan. The trio is on a mission to change the way content is currently distributed across the internet by removing the middlemen – like e-magazine, news sites, blog platforms and other publishers from the content distribution channel. By doing so, DECENT democratizes the internet by putting the power back into the hands of the content creator’s and publishers.

DECENT is a stable, secure and a cost-effective platform that is free for everyone to use.
DECENT uses multiple layers, the transaction layer which is secured by blockchain technology and the data sharing layer using modified BitTorrent protocol to decentralize content sharing. The reputational layer will allow users to rate the content generated on the platform. The ratings received by content creators on DECENT will be stored on the blockchain forever, allowing them to build their reputation over their lifetime.

With DECENT’s decentralized technology, the content hosted on the platform is immune from modifications, changes, and interference from external parties. People will decide what they want to buy and consume. The founders expect DECENT to become the mainstream content delivery platform in the coming years.
The DECENT platform is powered by DCT crypto tokens, the fuel for DECENT platform. DCT is also a tradable asset that can be used for transactions over the network to buy and sell content over DECENT platform.
