First their was the dogecoin race car. Now, there’s apparently a bitcoin-branded race car hitting the track.
We first wrote about this in late July. Just in case you haven’t been following NEWSBTC (if not, why?), there was news of a new crowdfunding campaign supported by NASCAR driver Alex Bowman to get bitcoin on his race car, numbered 23.
That endeavor, named Bitcoin23, aimed to raise as much as $25,000 to get bitcoin in prime view.
Sadly, the initiative raised significantly less. In fact, just about $5,000. So as you would probably expect, the bitcoin logo on Bowman’s car is, well, mildly disappointing (sort of like when you ask for a nice steak cooked medium and they give you beef jerky instead).
The pictures show the bitcoin logo on both sides of the vehicle. There is a large symbol with bold text that reads “Always One of a Kind” — and to be frank, I spent way too much time trying to figure out what that means.
(Spoiler: it’s a slogan used by Dr. Pepper, who happens to have their logo all over Bowman’s car like a bad rash.)
And then you have the two decals that feature the bitcoin symbol, it bitcoin actually written out.
Many people will want to know what that bitcoin company does — and then they’ll come to the realization bitcoin is not a company.
Just for fun, here’s a picture of that dogecoin race car I mentioned earlier, driven by Josh Wise.
Regardless of how large or small the bitcoin decal is, it’ll be pretty neat to see this car on the race track (though judging by the damage along the side, I’d venture to say it already has been).
Also, I don’t watch NASCAR. So if you have a picture of it zooming away, I’d like to see it.
