The Georgia-based company, which was also the main sponsor of this year’s St. Petersburg Bowl, will become the second crypto-related organisation, after Dogecoin, to sponsor a NASCAR team. Not only will this partnership provide BitPay with enough marketing exposure, it will also help viewers interact with Bitcoin technology as a whole. Stephanie Wargo, the company’s VP of marketing, elaborated the context and stated:
“NASCAR is watched by millions of people all over the world. Through this exposure and working with Justin and [his official operator] KBM, we hope to help raise awareness about the bitcoin technology and our company’s platform.”
There is no doubt in saying that a NASCAR event is certainly broader-reaching than a college football playoff game like the St. Petersburg Bowl. But to translate a sport loving audience into a Bitcoin fanatic is a job from another dimension. Indeed, the focus of BitPay throughout the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will be on attracting merchants to come and support Bitcoin payments. The company, in its previous branding venture, literally lured small merchants all over Florida into doing the same. This time, the number may increase due to the geographical expansion of NASCAR event.
Justin Boston couldn’t agree less as he stated:

The 2015 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season kicks off Friday evening, Feb. 20 at Daytona International Speedway. The race will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
