On January 25, 2022, Cumulus Encrypted Storage System (CESS) passed all three milestones of the W3F Grant and will receive a grant from the Web3 Foundation. CESS Lab first applied to the W3F Grant in September 2021, and subsequently passed Milestone 1 and 2 on October 15, 2021, and January 3, 2022.
CESS is a high-speed, secure, and scalable decentralized cloud storage network built with Substrate’s open-source framework. The Web3 Foundation Grant aims to promote the development of the Web3 ecosystem through funding qualified projects. CESS’s achievement in winning first place in the Polkadot Hackathon and receiving the W3F Grant have demonstrated the team’s strong technical strengths, taking us a step closer to preparing decentralized data cloud storage for Web3.0.
