UFO Gaming, the decentralized gaming platform bridging traditional games onto the blockchain, announced today they would be official Technology Sponsors of the Chainlink Fall 2021 Hackathon.The company joins the likes of other market leaders including Google Cloud, EY, Filecoin, and Polygon as collaborators in an industry-shaping event that spans five weeks from October 22, 2021 – November 28, 2021.
The annual Chainlink Fall Hackathon is open to developers, creators, and artists. The event will include educational workshops with world-class judges and established industry experts to cover the top protocols and blockchains, including Solana, Ethereum and more. Speakers include Sergey Nazarov, Co-Founder of Chainlink, Austin Griffith, Builder at the Ethereum Foundation, and UFoger, CEO of UFO Gaming, amongst other industry veterans.
The event will be split between two different tracks. The ‘Welcome Track’, designed for novices or beginners to the Hackathon, will be more ‘relaxed’, and include plenty of educational material. The ‘Main Track’ will include more advanced tasks, and be more competitive in nature. There will be over $500,000 in prizes up for grabs at this year’s event.
UFO Gaming will be sponsoring 3 prizes of their own, for teams that build imaginative and intelligent projects integrating the $UFO token into their ecosystem. First place winners will be awarded $30,000 and creative freedom to flesh out a P2E project that enables them to create their own token and join the Dark Metaverse. Second and third place will get teams $12,500 and $5000 respectively.
Potential integrations into the UFO ecosystem can include anything from tournament hosting to fully integrated systems for NFT models. Entrants will be required to have their own logic, as well as take part in a P2E economy, though they can choose to integrate their on native token with $UFO. UFO Gaming provides total creative liberty through the process, taking a more advisory position in the process of integrating to the ecosystem.
