The Stripe-owned wallet infrastructure provider has added broader transaction, transfer, policy and monitoring capabilities, giving businesses more control over how they move assets and manage wallets on the network.
Developers Get More Control Over TRON Wallet Activity
The expanded integration lets developers programmatically construct, sign and broadcast supported TRON transactions.
It also adds webhooks for monitoring wallet balances and onchain events, along with policy tools that can enforce spending limits, recipient allowlists and approval rules.
Privy’s Transfer APIs can then be used to move supported assets programmatically.
Those features are aimed less at somebody manually sending USDT from one wallet to another and more at businesses building stablecoin functionality directly into financial products.
Privy points to treasury management, cross-border payments and application wallets as obvious use cases.
The company says more than 2,000 developers and businesses use its infrastructure to power over 160 million accounts.
TRON’s Stablecoin Scale Is The Reason This Matters
TRON has become one of the largest settlement networks for USDT.
The network currently carries more than $94 billion in circulating Tether and is processing hundreds of billions of dollars in stablecoin activity each month.
That scale makes developer infrastructure more important.
A company wanting to use USDT for payments does not necessarily want to operate blockchain nodes, build key-management systems or write transaction-policy tooling from scratch.
Privy’s pitch is to abstract that work into APIs and wallet infrastructure.
Companies including Onafriq and Paystack are already using Privy and TRON for treasury or wallet applications, according to the announcement.
The integration also illustrates a broader change in how stablecoin adoption is developing.
The next wave may not arrive through consumers consciously choosing a blockchain.
It may arrive through payment apps and financial services where the chain sits underneath the product and the user barely notices it.
TRON already has the stablecoin liquidity.
Privy is trying to make that liquidity easier for developers to turn into products.
