Three new joint development collaborations have been announced for PlayMining, a popular GameFi platform with 2.7 million users.
Operated by Singapore-based Digital Entertainment Asset (DEA), PlayMining has a catalog of six casual Play-and-Earn (P&E) game titles, including Job Tribes, Menya Dragon Ramen, Cookin’ Burger, Graffiti Racer, Lost Archive + and Lucky Farmer. They also have a metaverse project, two more P&E games launching soon, and many more projects in development.
Here’s a look at their new eye-catching collaborations which include Virtual AI Idols, remote-controlled waste-sorting robots and a next-gen NFT Trading Card Game.
PlayMining X TV Tokyo: Virtual AI Idols on NFTs
DEA partnered with TV Tokyo Corporation last October to collaborate on the creation of new intellectual properties (IPs). Now, the team has announced the upcoming launch of the “Stone Stars” project, which will see seven new AI VTubers (Virtual YouTubers) come to mainstream broadcast television in Japan.
What is unique about these AI virtual idols is that they are linked to NFTs which allow holders to help shape the associated AIs’ personality and profile via a dedicated ChatGPT-4 platform. DEA hopes to expand this technology globally in the future.
NFT presales are launching this month. In addition to co-creating the AI virtual idols’ personalities, holders of the NFTs will also be able to use them as items in JobTribes, the largest P2E game on PlayMining.
PlayMining X Rita Technology: P2E Waste-Sorting Remote Controlled Robot Game
DEA frequently champions “GameFi-for-Good” initiatives, and DEA’s co-founder and co-CEO Kozo Yamada was quoted as saying they are looking for collaboration opportunities that allow them to create social impact through P2E gamification. Their latest such joint development project is with Rita Technology, a Japan-based company that specializes in bringing the waste management industry into the digital age with cutting-edge robotics.
Rita Technology CEO Koyo Ueno explained that although waste sorting is a critical part of recycling—a future-forward industry—there is a serious labor shortage due to negative perceptions of careers in the waste management industry. So, Rita Technology teamed up with DEA to create a fun PlayMining game that will promote the industry in an entertaining light.
They will achieve this commendable feat by allowing players to operate remote control waste sorting robots located in real waste processing facilities—all from a familiar video game they can play in the comfort of their own home. Players will also be rewarded with DEAPcoin for participating, thereby also alleviating the labor shortage crisis.
PlayMining X DM2C Studio: Next-Generation NFT Trading Card Game
DEA’s third big collaboration announcement is with DM2C Studio, a brand-new subsidiary of the popular Japanese website DMM.com. The two companies will co-develop -KAMIYAGURA-, a next-generation NFT trading card battle game with a mythical fantasy setting.
-KAMIYAGURA- will not launch on PlayMining, but rather on DM2C’s own Verse on the gaming-specialized Oasys layer 2 blockchain. DEA partnered with Oasys last month to pledge operational support for new game projects.
